I spent a couple of hours watching this Eastern Kingbird this past weekend. Fun to watch chasing dragonflies.

you just always have the best dragonfly images Socrate.....birds aren't too shabby either.
I have a special fondness of kingbirds, as I watch them often in a bayou from a distance.
Those kingbirds are really something I like how they flip the dragons up before they eat it
I bet they're really fun to watch! My fav. are #1,3,6 and #8! great stuff Socrate!
I like how you controled the whites on the egret...those are always easy to blow
Wonderful series Socrate, very well done. All of these have a certain feel to them and I can't put my finger on it. I would suppose it is your personal style showing through. I like 5 with one in the throat and one in the air and 7, it is splendid.
Outstanding shots Socrate! Your patience really paid off and you captured some great poses, 3, 5, 6 and 7 are the special ones for me. Details, colors and bgs are superb as well, wonderful series.
Holy flying dragonfly, Socrate. #s 3 and 5 are incredible! I don't know how you were able to capture the action in such detail. The entire series is great, but the those two are fantastic.
Socrate, those are just sweet! Were you tossing dragons to them I am afraid that I would have almost just enjoyed the show in watching this activity. Great concentration on the shots, and wonderful BG's on a few of the munchers The scruffy first one is a great shot too!
