Ben was my 'heart' dog--totally bonded with me. We lost him 3 years ago with bone cancer at 9.

All Standard Poodles---my 4th, 5th and 6th. We refer to them as 'farm poodles' around here LOL--have several acres of our 20 fenced to run, and run they do. But---they are very much 'my girls' so stick with me in the house or studio after they get rid of some of their energy.
