Years ago I had a business dealing with comicbook artist that had achieved a degree of notoriety in the late 90's early 00's. He's quite talented, but...ummm...challenging to work with. At any rate, he was waaaaay behind schedule. If I have to project manage with creatives the rules are: 1. always lie about the deadline (say you need need it done in half the time you actually do) and 2. never pay the whole bill upfront.
Well, I screwed-up and paid upfront. He then proceeded to blow past his deadline...and then the actual deadline. When I cornered him and voiced my dissatisfaction he told me that he had been injured (which was not true) and submitted this photo as proof:

The way he has layered band-aids on top of band-aids is pretty funy. Anyway, reminds me of the tape job on the bumper.
