This is a nice shot.I see lots of geometric angles but i see very little shadow.

Jim,

Thanks for the nice comment. I think there are plenty of geometric shadows in this shot; from the patterns along the left wall to the shadow at the end of the passageway. I also shot this shot for the assignment.

However, I liked the picture I've entered much better - even if it not quite as close a fit to the assignment.

Thanks for the input. I'll roll with it and see what Fred thinks.

I think what Jim Schemel is saying is that you should be disqualified.

Nice passage way, where is this church and how old is it?

Tom,

I think its a wonderful shot. I personally feel the 2nd shot has a good chance of winning as it looks really cool. I can see it on the left of the first picture. The first one has many shadows. I don't see how you should be disqualified and what's up with that comment?

Hi Tom,

This is a very nice shot and definitely qualifies for the weekly assignment. I also agree with you that one you chose to submit is much stronger. It is a beautiful hallway that you have captured well. Good luck this week.

Thanks for the nice comments, guys. I don't think anyone has ever been disqualified for submitting an image that wasn't taken outside the timeline parameters of the assignment.

It's not a church. It's a residence hall at Princeton University, where I was attending a conference last week. It's not even that old - probably about 100 years.
