nice textures and warm colors in this shot. Did you try a portrait of just the door itself, perhaps including the two posts on either side? It might help to focus on the door a little more, and could allow some of the steps as part of the image. Right now the door seems a little cramped on top and bottom.
Also, is there some noise in the image---or is it just the texture of the wood?
