Next to the Bible, there is no greater source of deep thought. This is a beautiful old leather-bound boxed set of pocket Shakespeare plays.

Hi Endre,

I hope the trip went well. A lovely set of volumes of the Bard's work and you have captured them well. The lighting is terrific. I'm not sure they are the deepest ideas, but I love to see them performed. Good luck this week and glad to have you back.

Both small concerts were big successes - standing ovations at each! I also was involved in a couple of Master Classes which were very well received.

I don't want to ignite a debate over which ideas are the deepest in the world but I crtainly would be curious to know where you find might find a deeper and more comprehensive set of deep ideas than in Shakespeare.

Hi Endre,

My dad is a high school English teacher and taught Shakespeare and we went to see one of his plays almost every year. Now, my daughter is going to major in English and Shakespeare is her favorite as well. So, I appreciate his greatness. I think he is the greatest writer in the English language and his plays are the standard of good drama, but I just don't think he aspired to develop great ideas. I see his plays as capturing the human condition and aspiring to be immensely entertaining both of which I think they did exceptionally well. In my view it is the great philosophers, theologians, and such that have aspired to develop deep ideas and have achieved this to some extent. Send my a PM or email if you want to discuss this further. It could be fun.

I was lucky enough to take part in the literary festival in Stratford upon Avon last month and got to take part in a discussion and do some readings at the new Courtyard Theatre. I can now say I played "Romeo" at Stratford, does not matter how brief it was and that we had scripts in our hands, I've performed Shakespeare in his hometown.

Anyway back to Endre...

Having read and performed very little of the Bards work in my life, but having listened to the Academics at the discussion...

...this stuff is well deep. (But very clever when analysed by experts and explained to us mere mortals!)
