LR seems to have deveIoped a glitch. I select a number of images for a slideshow, then open the slideshow module. All the images show up at the bottom of the slideshow module, but the slideshow itself appears to be in a loop. It will only show a few images and then repeat. It does it whether I am in the random mode or not.
Help! What am I missing? I have not had this problem before. Unfortunately, I am under the gun for a slideshow presentation this evening. Can anyone help?
About 300 image slideshow. Running under a iMac. I am still running version 1.1 (afraid to upgrade). Haven't had this problem in the past though.
How big are the files you're trying to show? If I try and do a slideshow of TIFFs (~30-50MB each) it will do this to me. If I export these photos to JPEG (~1-5MB), it seems to do fine.
I've found there are a number of bugs in LR yet. Hopefully as updates come it'll be the program I know it can be.
My files are in the 10-15 mb range. It does appear to be a problem that comes and goes. I like to have my slideshows move quickly with only 2-5 seconds per image. At that speed LR can't always get the images fully resolved either.
My quick fix for last night was to export the edited images into iPhoto and use the iPhoto slideshow mode. Not ideal, but it bailed me out.
