I agree, ants are tricky! I really haven't gotten a good shot of them.... All the light looks nice on these! The fly is outstanding.

I have not managed a good shot of ants other than when they are busy tending aphids as they are always too fast for me. Great shots

Excellent series!great control of light and good detail in all of them.the first and the last two are my favourite(I guess the "rove beetle" is Tachyporus Hypnorum.)

Looks like you're doing pretty good to me!
Have you tried putting down some honey or sugar water? Get them to feeding and they are a lot easier to shoot...
Excellent light and composition on the rest -looks like your diffusion is working well (lots of fine texture detail).

Hi John,I have tried Honey and sugar but as yet have had no takers,I think carrion is the next option
