Nice sharp, brilliant textures, and some great low angles make for an excellent set, "sleepy face" is just too cute for words!

Heya Mohammed, thanks so very much!! These guys are way too cute for words.....

Awesome set Susan. Very nice processing too.

Multo thanks, Jude, on both counts!!

Very well done Susan. You've captured the spirit of these animals. #7 is my pick too. The look like they would be difficult to expose properly, and done it perfectly.

Thanks Mark!! Not too difficult to expose, unless there is sun - in which case, one needs a polarizer for sure. Still, thank you!!

#1 Got snot?
Still laughing on the first one.......... If I had 'snot' I would hope someone would tell me first before they took my pic and posted it all over the internet
Gosh these are just great, you did a fine job putting expression in to these and capturing expression. I have some favorites, #2......perhaps my take on life if I won the lotto, #6 just plain ole care free and relaxed......nice group hug, #7 just makes you feel happy, #9 a great angle shot......the mouth coloring sure adds nicely to the comp. All others...........

Hi Karl, and thanks so very, very much for the kind comments, the reactions to individual pics, and your overall support. All are so much appreciated!!

Outstanding series Susan! The interaction and animation you've captured is nothing short of remarkable, if I wore a hat, I would take it off for you!

WOW that is a realy fine series of photos Sue. The detail of the skin is very sharp and the eyes are great. Must have been a lot of fun.

Fantastic series, Susan. You've captured great expressions in all. #s 6 and 7 really stand out, but you know what's really cool? I can tell by these images that you absolutely love these guys

Thank you Maggie - and you're right - I just adore these guys!!

Very nice set Susan - you're really capturing some wonderful poses. However, I'd like to point out that the threesome is actually a foursome unless the one in the middle has three eyes

Thanks Gero - and oh my oh my, right you are, my friend!!

All great photos of these appealing guys - don't you just LOVE a baby that's so homely while being so adorable at the same time? Your devotion to them really does show in the photos. Hard to pick a favorite but #6, 7 and 10 would be my personal favorites. Keep posting them.

Thanks and you nailed it - they're both homely and adorable - such sweeties. (Not true of the big bull males, by the way.... just plain homely!!)

Does wine go with Elephant seals too? Or just Egrets ? What wine would go best with Elephant seals and would it be different for egrets?
These are the questions inquiring minds would like to know :d
You really have a fascination for these weaners without a stick don't you
Lovely job and commentary Susan > Entertaining all the way through
Anthony (Mouse Whisperer)

Hey there Mouse Man - ahhhhh, now you're talking - elephant seals and a bottle of wine, now that would be a great outing!!

All lovely but 2, 6 and 7 would be my choices.
Number 2 could have plenty of captions...its the best one for me, if I had to pick one, because you captured an animated moment.
Thanks for posting those, enjoyed them all.

Multo thanks for the comments!!

Thanks! The light at the South Point at Aņo Nuevo is definitely best in the morning, and the seals are most active then too, so most of these were between 8:30 and 10:30 AM. On an overcast day, though, one can stay out all day with good success!

Thanks Adam. The seals at the south point are only ~20 yards away, and I've actually decided against taking my 500 lens in favor of a 400! Now is a GREAT time to head out there. I'll be there on Sunday morning if you decide to come out for a visit!
