Excellent stuff Shelley! I like the close-up portraits the most like the first shot and the last one. What lens are you using for these?
Thanks Nello... the 70-200 F4 for most of these, except for the portrait of the bear.. that was with the 300 and 1.4 TC.
Fabulous bear shots, Shelley. You must have been waaay too close unless you were in your car. The ram shots are unbelievably good, but those bear close-ups are stunning and so hard to get. Very well done. I always enjoy your work.
Wow are these images amazing. I really like the ram portraits backed by the evergreens... While the bears are great, I think the young ram jumping from ledge to ledge is an awesome capture!
cheers,

Nice shots Shelley, I'm gonna have to drive out to Waterton very soon.
Thanks Darren... you'll definitely have to make a trip out there. Just spent the weekend there....LOTS of bighorn sheep around, and after numerous trips up Cameron Lake road... saw the same bear cub twice.

Wow Shelley, that is a walk in the wild! Some how it seems that perhaps that bear was a little closer than you may have expected, what a beautiful coat of fur. The rams are very cool and massive, a few of your shots show a great perspective with the mountains in the BG and ridge line. Seems the ones on the run were feeding and got spooked up What a wonderul rugged outdoor hike that was, glad you shared it
Karl
Thanks Karl... this was no hke... just driving around Waterton. The bear cub was walking along the road... and when I came, he just sauntered over to the edge and just took his time looking around.. the bear shots were taken from the car. And the rams on the run... another person spooked them. I was sitting comfortably observing them.

Beautiful clear shots. That bear looked in pretty good shape after a long winter. Great Composition in number 1. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Rob.. yes, the bear looks extremely healthy. I never did see a sow around.
