After seeing ourweddingday.com pop on google several times, and my partner insist that we sign up for the service, I signed up for the standard service earlier last month. Although we've been getting some leads consistently through them, it hasn't been for the main city we are based in. Instead, we are getting information of random brides from all the small towns and surrounding areas. Tried to contact them for some customer service, and they told me they would get back to me with more info later.
So I got to thinking... anyone else here using Ourweddingday.com and if so, have you had any success with their service? Care to share any good/bad experience?
Went through the trial, sent numerous emails and had no responses. Thought something was up, I called two or three of the numbers given with the leads and none were active numbers. That could be two things, the person gave the incorrect number OR ourweddingday.com is "creating" leads. Just my .2 cents.
Yeah, I think something is fishy as well. I'm getting leads almost daily, but have only heard back from 2 people throughout the entire month. What's even worse is that when I tried to follow up with both of those people, I got no response through email or phone. I'm also suspecting that they are just making up listings.
I booked one small wedding, and had a couple other real leads... I did run into a couple of phony numbers as well though. I haven't bothered to do anything more than the trial.
My name is James Nord and I am the VP of Vendor Relations here at OurWeddingDay.com. I wanted to write a quick note and explain to everyone here at Fred Miranda how our Local Vendor Advertising service works. We offer vendors a full page advertisement and with that comes unlimited free leads. We generate bridal leads in two different ways:
1. We have a form that the bride can fill out after she has signed up for a free wedding planning website. This form will ask her what wedding services she has not booked, and if she is interested in hearing from vendors from those categories. This form is completely voluntary and the bride only fills it out if she is interested in more information. As part of this, she specifies her budget for each service, and more details about it, helping us to deliver only leads that match your criteria.
2. A bride can view your ad on our Local Vendor Listings page (https://www.ourweddingday.com/wedding-local-resources.aspx) and request more information from you. Once she does this we will send you an email with her information.
All of our leads are certainly submitted by our site users – we’re a little bit too busy to be making them up, as someone suggested above! Of course, we can’t guarantee that every single bride enters her phone number correctly. However, we have hundreds of VERY satisfied professionals who’ve been booking weddings from our service for nearly a year.
OurWeddingDay.com is one of the fastest growing online wedding resources in America, and we have spent the last year building and refining what we believe is the most advanced wedding advertising service on the web. I believe strongly that this is a service that all wedding professionals can benefit from using. If you have any questions, comments or suggestions, please do not hesitate call me on my cell phone at 404.431.1908 or email me directly at [email protected].
If any users of this forum have had a problem using our service, I’d be happy to hear from them directly via phone or email, and we’ll do our best to resolve it.

Yeah, that's a great response Jamesnord... but the service was still pretty disappointing overall. Not only did zero of the leads actually land anything for us, but the two that followed up were unreachable no matter how we approached it. I would think that after a month, people would at least respond and politely decline the service that we offered. Maybe it's just bad luck on our part. Why blame the messenger right?
Well... I contacted the customer service (before I canceled the service), and requested to look into why we were not getting any leads for our main city. The customer service rep (Erica) stated that the matter would be looked at very shortly, and they were going to send me an email with all the details & correct the problem (she made sure my email was correct just to be sure). Just so you know, even after a week... there was no response from anyone.
So thank you ourweddingday.com, but I will look elsewhere for better support and service.
