Great shots Tim! your combo captures some amazing fine detail! did you get down and dirty to get the low angle
my fav. is #2
Thanks for the kind words my friend, the combo is coming around. Did I get down and dirty? Well, it was watery mud and reeds where I was shooting, I squatted and leaned on a tuft of reeds while my feet slowly sank in the mud. Down and dirty, no, leaning and wet yes!!

You are getting better and better with that combo, Tim. This is one fine series with beautiful images, clean sharp andall properly exposed . Probably the best post since you got your new toy. # 2 is my favorite, but it wasn't an easy decision.
Socrate
Socrate, thank you so much for your well thought out and meaningful comments.
I'm working on it. Funny thing about these shots, I almost didn't take them, it was only on second thought that I looked into that little pond, usually nobody is in it.

These are great, Tim, Green-winged teals are some of my favorite ducks. You must have been very close to get these shots -- congratulations!
Chris
Chris, I was right up on this guy. A bit of stalking and a bit of patience pays off. Thanks man.

Beautiful shots, I've never been able to get anything nearly as nice, the head turns showing off their colors is a bonus, well done!
Thank you Laura, this little gent acted like he was on the runway almost.

Those are some really nice detailed shots. I see you used the 5D & 400/5.6. Did you crop any, or are those straight out of the body, besides resizing?
Thanks, these are indeed cropped though not heavily, more for composition than enlargement.

Outstanding series Tim, the color, detail, low angle...everything works on these. I like them all, but #2 rises above the others...just a tad.

Thanks Doug, I'm glad you like them.

Very, very nice. I love the look of the little Green Winged Teal and you have done them well here. I must agree that your presentation of the captures was well thought out as well.
