As a direct result of John Power's thread (https://www.fredmiranda.com/forum/topic/633006/0) and the amount of differing suggestions and opinions I felt inclined to acquire some solid numbers to account for a single most important upgrade (among FM'ers) for the much anticipated '5DII'. Assume that each option works as it should and to the best of its ability. Also, the above options were derived directly from John's post so don't yell at me for posting 'In body IS'
Interesting selection, but a few have absolutely no chance of appearing IMO. In particular the 1-series AF (tho canon might go for a 20+ point AF), the larger size (current size is a + selling point) and (of course) the in-body IS!
Personally I'd just like better AF. Even 23-point AF with 9 cross-type sensors would be a vast improvement. Everything else would be icing.
If you would like better AF then select 1-Series AF (I wasn't going to put 'better AF'; just seemed a little too broad). This is just based upon imagination...logical imagination that is. As for the others I TOLD YOU NOT TO YELL AT ME!!! They were derived from John's post...just bear with me here!
NO question about it - a stop or more of high-ISO improvement. I don't mean just adding ISO 6400+ with excessive noise reduction - I mean clean high-ISO capability.
I'd love to see eye-controlled focus. I've had it in my EOS-3 and my Elan 7Ne for years and I really hated to give that up to go digital. I was originally skeptical about ECF until I used it, but man-oh-man did it spoil me. Canon really should offer it in at least one digital body.

Hoping to see a few changes since the technology is there:
Higher fps (I'd be happy with 5, hated 3) This is the biggest reason I sold my old one.
Higher/cleaner ISO (If they can do it with the 1DmkIII, they could sure kick it up a notch with a new 5)
AF (af can always improve)

dual processors in a prosumer body, I dont think so. Albeit, i think thay can improve some over present AF. 5D lowlight Af bites.

Ok and what about all of the others? Digic III...impossible? Weather Sealing...impossible? Dust removal....impossible? 5/6 FPS...auto ISO...impossible? Thats nonsense. Ill give you a few, but again I only posted what I saw in the other thread. Anyhow, I am sure they can stretch damn close to 1-Series AF (lets say around 25-30 cross-type AF points) into a new body...particularly when you look at technological advances/competition and depending on how much Canon is shooting for as fas as MSRP. I wouldn't count it out.

The main thing is that the name 5D MK II is terrible. Canon should revamp their numbering system to follow a logical sequence or at least use less digits.
