Magic hand that whacks you upside the head and screams "Move to the right 3 feet and you have a better composition"
And in that order!
My 40D and 5D are side by side. And I never have to clean the 40D and I have to clean the 5D at least 1x a month! Okay, so that's not much, but I'm lazy! Magic hand is just bonus
Others:
~20 MP, ISO 25,600 usable, the best dynamic range and IQ Canon can provide at low ISO, improvements to AF, 5 fps, huge buffer, high res 3" OLED, decent weather sealing but no more weight or bulk than current model.
Go ahead, charge $5000 for it. I'll sign up, and I'll bet there'd be huge waiting lists.
ECF!!! I miss my Elan IIe..... as it sits somewhere not being used.
Weather sealed
Slightly larger in size.... a mini 1series. I have big hands and anything smaller feels like a toy.
Anything else is a bonus!
Priced where mere mortals came pretend to afford.
Available now so I can sell my IdII =)
better AF -- more sensors (esp. more cross-type sensors) and more responsiveness. The AF system is about the only thing seriously lacking on the current 5D, IMO. It should be as good as the positioning of the camera suggests... better than 40D but not as good as 1D.
Stuff like 14-bit, better LCD, liveview etc. are a given. FPS is somewhat irrelevent (it's not a sports cam) and weather sealing is overrated but will probably appear in some form thanks to Pentax et al who have all now included it in lower-end bodies.
