Ray, I'm a sucker for waxwings but damn the heron is too good. In the rain or is that something else on the water? If rain, wow.

Wonderful job on the Waxies !!! I'm still hoping to see one of these someday in the wild........... Great job on them .. very sharp and colorful. Also like the grebe and owl .... But the BCNH takes the honors for this series

Hi Tim.. the stuff on the water is a plant growing in this swampy water, it is just reaching the water top, and gets very thick later on in August., I do not know the name of it, some kind of seaweed though this is fresh water.

thanks Chris, the second to last is a Bohemian, the other 2 are Cedars.
