Shot this from the new AgustaWestland - Versace helicopter, after the ceremony at the Agusta factory. This was the maiden flight before being handed to the lucky owner
I gues they used us (the photog.'s) as test dummies
The castle that you see on the bottom part sits on a hill overlooking the lake. It's called "Rocca di Angera"...a XII th century castle / fortress.
Lake Maggiore strches all the way into Switzerland and has a total surface of about 215 kmē...about 40 miles long and 8 miles at the widest point.

Thx Ute! we were lucky indeed. I was praying the night before for a sunny day Imagine a one in a lifetime opportunity to fly w a Verscace designed heli and have your view ruined by bad weather! Too bad I didn't get many shots...I kinda' layed back & enjoyed the ride&view leaving the camera rest for a while
Thx for the comment. ScaryFox wrote:

Thx for the comment Vic! funny you mentioned Sikorsky: the AgustaWestland PR guy said their competition were quite upset when Agusta won the contract to build the next heli for the U.S. president viczig wrote:
As a retired engineer from a competing helicopter manufacturer (Sikorsky) I especially enjoyed this lovely view of a lovely area.
