I am finding the "New" feature on "My posts" to be very inaccurate. I can log on the following day to find posts still indicated as having new responses when they haven't - and vice versa.

Same here, though I only notice it as the "New" oval flag always coming on, even when I've looked at the thread several times since the last change to it.

I don't know whether this is a bug or me being stupid, but having subcribed to the uploading tool, after i have browsed and found the picture, it does not show in the thread? i therefore have to use Photobucket to show my images.

Many thanks in advanced.

Should work - are you sure you are choosing a jpeg image? You also need to make sure you enter some message text when uploading as well
(But I do like the revised color of the "new" label even if it isn't accurate )
Paul, below is how the 'new' flag works:
- after a long period of inactivity (> 30 mn), the next time you use FM.com, the 'Last-Visit' time is when you visited FM.com previously, say 8 hours ago.
- any topic that has been modified within these 8 hours will be flagged "New".
- note that your last post will not be within these 8 hours (because the Post is one of your activity) and thus your own posts won't be flagged "New" if there is not reply to it.
- each time you visits a topic, that topic is stored in a cookie and marked as read: a refresh of My posts should not show New.
- the Last reply shown in My posts is the time you posted, not the last post time of the topic ; thus you post could be 3 days before, while a reply was made an hour ago.

As Paul wrote, it should work. Try post a topic with uploads on this board and if it does not work. Leave it here so I can check.
Best,
Fred
I don't know if it qualifies as a bug, more of a suggestion I suppose, but why is it that I can preview a PM before it's sent, but I cannot preview a reply to a thread before it is posted?
If I could preview my posts, it would save a lot of time editing my poor grammar afterwards!
Thanks for your time,
Helimat

I read that there is a 'bump' button but don't see it, instead I see - Bump in 05:23:14 - does this mean it won't jump to the top for another 5 hours?
I don't believe it's been bumped yet and it says - Bump your listings every 12 hours
Hi Loading.
The Buy and Sell 'bump' button will appear once the counter is finished. In the case above, after 5 hours and 23 minutes, the bump button will appear in place of the counter. As a topic starter, you may bump your topic by replying to it or clicking on the bump button. This bumping system is only relevant for the topic starter. Other members may bump topics by replying to them at anytime. However, once a member replies to your topic, the counter is reset.
Best,
Fred
The time isn't showing up correctly for me. I just checked my preferences and I have it set right for my time zone, but it's showing 11:36 instead of 12:36 like it should for example. I dont' remember it being like this a week ago.

Hi Will,
You may have to adjust your time zone to reflect daylight-savings. The forum does not do that automatically.
