You could increase the stauration and and contrast, but that will probably block the highlights. I'd re-shoot it until I got what I want. Also, I frequently shoot continuous bracketed pairs, one at the meter reading and the second 1/2 stop under. Being a little under increases stauration.
This is from someone absolutely unqualified to C&C, I agree with what has been said.
But the second one with the monkey (I also don't know what species they are and I am a biology major!), you can't reshoot so make the best with what you have:
I like the base at the bottom. Maybe crop a little bit from the right to take out the bright rock on the right and the bright top of the tree trunk. It draws my eyes away. Kinda a frame for the picture with the out of focus tree that balances the left tree?
