This one was taken at the beginning of feb so the winter sunsets helped me greatly I used my 70-300mm with a circular polarizer at 3sec. at F/16, I wanted to capture the sunset but the foreground was too boring so i moved myself to this view and i think its amazing, its taken at a nature reserve near me (whisby)
but PLEASE feel free to c/c so i know how i can take these shots better
I'm a sunset freak myself and I really like both of these. The only comment is on the second one. The bush on the right side really doesn't add much to the shot, there's too much there for a true "silhouette" like the tree. Perhaps another angle that would have just the tree? Beautiful colors in both though, very realistic to me!
Post about 800 across for best feedback - this is a little small to comment on.
Both have nice backlight and colors. I think I like 2nd best because it has more balance left to right and has the tree at 1/3 over.
The first seems to have power lines across top that distract and the fact that you have just the tops of tree I find distracting. I think you need more ground. Rule of thumb is horizon 1/3 down or up.
I too like the second shot better. The wonderful colours really make it. And the tree trunk and all the branches creating such nice patterns in front. Alas, boo-hoo, the power lines! For me -- and I cannot go along with Icarian here at all -- they here really make the difference between look-how-nice and this-needs-a-frame. Modern life is a bummer at times, isn't it? Thanks lots for sharing!
