I like the depth of field and how the knob of the door occupies a shade of black that the rest of the photo does not have making it stand out.

Do you have one with a deeper DOF? I'm a little torn on my thoughts about the thin DOF.

I like the concept though, and it is well-composed.

I will in the future. I'm going back to this very nice location with old buildings essentially forgotten in time. I was trying out a new lens and using it wide open. It's the 35 f/1.4 L from Canon at f/1.4. The minimum focusing distance on that lens is really short which opens the door to some serious creativity.
