p.1 #1 · Crossing Border Lines

Well I received an email the other day with a request for me to put some photos together for a new eagle poster for Canada. They had received my name from the NYSDEC to ask for my help in this project and I joined right in even though I had to cross the border.
Many of the photos are from New York but some of you may recognize a few from the Conowingo Dam. The cover photo is 17X24 of that big gal going down after a fish. Four fact sheets of the eagles will also be published.
My pay was free parking any time I want even at Tony’s and Norms house . So here are the poster and 4 fact sheets we put together.

That is very cool, Lou. The pieces all look great with your photos in them! It's great that you are able to do something to help the eagles through your pictures.

Thanks Chris and you want to know the neat part, see the bird on top of each fact sheet. It is the male of a pair on my home page and he is the one doing the crying. X59 is his N.Y.S. band # and both him and his mate were driven from their nest in 2002 by a pair of Ravens wanting the entire cliff. Both the DEC and my self have searched for them even from the air. For 5 years I looked and covered many miles of NYCity reservior property shore line with just the luck of finding him twice and this is one of the finds in 2004. I fear his mate is dead as I never had any sighting or calls on her and she was a huge bird. Funny thing is I can't remember what my Doctor told me yesterday but I can remember every one of these birds and where and when I took their photo. Here is a good photo of him from that day.

Thanks Tim and glad I could do it. Not sure if Jody lives in that part of Canada but he was looking for eagles and just maybe given time they just may be there.

Congratulations Lou, good looking poster with your photos in it. Even if Jody doesn't live close by, you could always just send him some of your pictures!

Thanks Doug but it would be best for the photos if Jody had a chance for some eagles. Hard to beat the fastest gun in the North.
