p.1 #1 · Need CS3 help quickly

I have about 500 pictures I need to go through for swim and basketball teams, and CS3 keeps hanging in an unusual manner. I am using Bridge to open up the raw editor, and once I get finished with the preliminary adjustments, I open up in CS3. Every once in a while, when an image opens, the "hand" pointer appears, and although I can click on tools on the toolbar menu, the hand never goes away, and I cannot use the tools I pick. The only way around this is to shut both Bridge and CS3 down and start again. I'm figuring I'm doing something wrong, but I can't figure it out and it is killing me. Any ideas

Charlie

Reset Photoshop Preferences: Hold down Alt, Ctrl, and Shift keys (Mac: Command, Option, Shift) while starting Photoshop. A dialog box will appear asking if you wish to delete the preferences file.

If you have any actions recorded but not saved in .atn files, save your actions off before you reset the preferences!

I agree that resetting the preferences is the first step, and often fixes issues like that with PS. Next step is to re-install.
