p.1 #1 · Semi-Gloss Paper?

What is a good semi-gloss for an R1800?

I like the Kodak paper that I buy, but there's probably something better, right?

Personally – Ilford Gold Fibre silk, knocks my socks off. I have pearl as well and it's quite nice but I like the surface texture of the silk which is more like something out of a very nice photo book.

I use Red River papers for my R1800. I really like the Polar Satin and I like their Aurora Fine Art papers.

Canson Photo Satin is one of the best papers in my book. Give it a try.

Lexjet Sunset eSatin at 300gsm. Think of Ilford Pearl at three times the thickness and about 1/2 the cost.

Very nice paper.

I second the Ilford Smooth Pearl.Just make sure that you get the one for pigment based inks, also make sure you go to their website and download there ICC for your printer.I used this paper with there ICC and could not tell a difference at all in color from the Epson paper

no doubt – I find paper selection to be highly dependent upon the photographers personal taste.
