Checking that it's safe to come out.

Small pose for the camera before take off

And there it goes. How do they fly and take off so fast...

My first photo posting on the forum. Birds were shot in Skellig Michael, a remote rocky island south-west of Ireland. Magnificent view and loads of birds (eg. Razorbills and Gannets in addition to the Puffins).

I like the expressions on the puffins face in the first two. Very nice colors too. I wish I could go to Ireland...

I can't see enough of these guys >> They look like cartoon characters !! So colorful ! You can pitch shot 3 to file 13 > but 1 and 2 are wall hangers

Thank you all for the comments. These were my first puffin shots (I've always adored these funny looking creatures. I was hoping to get a shot of a puffin taking off but my Fuji S3 and Nikkor 80-200 combo just couldn't keep up with them...

One more. Posing infront of it's nest concealed under a small cliff.

Lovely shot - - I'm just one of those who want more "space" for them to look into & here the canvas ends ......

But past that I really like this one as well.

Welcome to the forum! Wonderful shots of what has to be 1 of the cutest birds ever. Puffins and pinguins are so adorable

The thing that cracks me about the puffins is that their eyes have kinda' of an upper-split (instead of being round). That makes them have that "huh? what's goin' on?" look

The top of it's beak reminds me of salmon-sashimi LoooL
Hope to see more irish native birds!
P.S. forgot...last 1 you posted is my favourite
