Snow geese were available this last week by the big bunches at Bernardo & Bosque in New Mexico
Here are some in flight Snow Geese taken with my 1Dmark 3 MP&S (Thanks To Will) and a Canon 500mm lens with a 1.4 converter. Hand held using my BushHawk.
I was using Will for a bunch of these as live bait. We were at Wacky 'monkey Observation Fork in Bernardo for a bunch of these.
Dave you need to plan a trip down to Bernardo & Bosque in New Mexico while the geese and cranes are still there or for next year. You would have a ball. Thanks for the nice words.
Nice work Roger, 13 is great, I like 2 also. I got a bunch similar to 1 but all on grey days and that nice detail just isn't there at all. I would love to photograph these guys in sunshine. Very nice job.

Hey Roger were you in a hot air balloon

If you like shooting birds in flight Bernardo & Bosque in New Mexico has got to be the place while they are there, Ted every way you look certain times of the day geese or cranes are flying. You can get them way up high or real low what ever your choice is.
Super set Roger - excellent flight shots and the landscapes are very nice too. Looks like you had a great visit with the Monk - did he share his beer with you
Wow Roger, love the light in #10, I see ya got em talkin to ya in #2&3. I just realized something, I guess I like them flying right to left so those are my favs!
Roger, Another nice set. I don't know about that live bait stuff. Those guys in 2 and 3 are saying: "Danger, Danger, lets get the heck out of here!" Steve W

After reading your post and then going back and looking real close I am thinking maybe Will as live bait is not such a good idea. Image if you were flying over a field and looked down and saw the Trenchmankey
