I think you have a very interesting idea here. But it's hard for me to have an emotional response to this image because the message seems unclear... Yes, she's got a ball & chain on her ankle, but she's standing on nice, plush carpet, and her toe-nails are painted.
Maybe it's just me, but the statement of the photo is unclear to me.

The thought was that the ole' ball and chain attached to the ball and chain (women being cast as the proverbial ball and chain that is). Did it on carpet cause I thought it contrast the notion of a prisoner held captive.
Sends the message of a kept woman who may be trapped in her lifestyle and hating it. Interesting interpretation. The long shadows accentuate the situation. Welcome!
