Good effort, I like it, you did right with the water droplets, it would be a pretty mundane shot without them. Try experimenting with the position of the water droplets to the light, sometimes it is possible to get some nice bright stars from each droplet.
without using special effects filters or software, the star effect is created when using a small aperture while photographing bright highlights. Thus you would need the droplets to have a bright light on them for best effect. Droplets that are suspended beneath the flower would show it best because there the background is very dark and unlikely to obscure the star effect.
Take some shots of street lights at night at different apertures to see the star effects and how aperture affects their prominance.
Regarding your flower shot, I like it but I think it might be better if the left side was not right up against the edge of the frame. Of course, I could be wrong.
I don't think I'd crop the green blur off the bottom but I'd consider masking it out. Itdoesn't really bother me at all but a simple crop would leave too little stem and too little space under the flower. That would be worse than it is now.
In future, please post the shooting details and/or include the EXIF data in the image. That way we'll know how you took the photo and will be able to offer better-informed critique. It also helps others learn from your efforts, which is largely what this forum is about.
