So... tax returns.. anyone splurging on equipment? I'm trying to decide what to buy. I still need to get a flash and I need to get a prime lens, like a 50 1.4. Hmmmmm....

Even before tax returns I have saved enough to upgrade my 20D to a 1D series. But daily problems I read about AF and today's announcement by Canon is driving me nuts

Yep, every year. My girlfriend's getting back about double what I am because she has extra taken out every pay check to get back a bunch during tax time. I'm think about doing that, it's like a savings account that i CANNOT touch

It's like a savings account with ZERO percent interest. It makes absolutely no financial sense to do that. You're giving the government use of your money interest free for up to one year. And you are doing it voluntarily.

Problem is, I'd be very tempted to dip into a regular savings account. Plus, it coming out of my paycheck is very easy to do and I'd just forget about it until tax time comes around.
