p.1 #1 · Question on Disappeared post in Buy-Sell

Earlier today, there was a post in B&S selling a Think Tank Airport International, but now this evening it is gone. It disappeared.?.?. completely.?.?.

I noticed this particular thread disappeared when I refreshed all the browser tabs I had opened in the B&S forum. And there was no way to do a "back" and recapture it from cache. So what happened to it? All I get is a FM message page saying the thread "topic could not be located"

I guess this concerns me for a couple of reasons. 1) I was interested in the items for sale; 2) even if someone else got it, I would like to have known that it sold & what the asking price was when it sold; 3) If the OP wanted to change his price, there should still be some history of what it was at first. ( & the price was only 12% below retail so it doesn't seem likely that it sold really quickly); 4) and I guess it does bug me a bit that something can just vaporize with no explanation;

So here are my questions:
A) Do I understand right an OP can effectively remove a thread by deleting the subject and the original post?

B) Does this happen often?
C) what actual record is there on the system of disapeared posts?
D) if there's a problem post or item, is there any where we can find out what was the problem?

Here is the link that I think would have gotten to the particular post in question:

Thanks

p.1 #2 · Question on Disappeared post in Buy-Sell

In my experience an OP can kill a thread by deleting the first post. I have done this when I wanted to quickly check something, but without bothering everyone else.

As for what happened to the B&S posting - I don't know who deleted it nor why.
