Just finished the album design for a wedding I did back in December. I posted their images about that time, but thought I'd get some feedback from their album design.
First time posting an album, so let me know what you think!
I love it! You did an amazing job. May I ask what software you used to design the album? Did you do it from scratch in PS? I'm looking for a better album solution.
I really like it, except for the background image on #2. I would say make it more opaque or get rid of it completely. The picture itself is great, but it fills up too much space to simply be a background image. Not sure if that makes sense.
#4 I like that you have used the gradient from the sky as a design element. (Same for the color from the bricks in #3) But the line going through their legs keeps drawing my attention.
#14 I'm not sure if the candles merit a full page.
#15 (Love this page) I would increase the opacity of the BG image.
That said, I'd be THRILLED to present this to a client.
I really like it. My one critique is the wedding side of the cover. I'd prefer to just see the one shot on the right. It's dramatic and deserves to be the showcase.

It was an LDS wedding. No ceremony shots.
Correct
The candles, well, they were pretty specific about the candles and I was very pleased with it. I was really struggling with reception shots, barely made it to fill up the 30 spreads so it was one of the best.
As for the cover, I thought the same thing Mel. The only reason, is there is a large dark void in the bottom right, where the light didn't creep past his legs like I was hoping. I feel it would be too large to really make it the centerpiece, but I'll look at it again.
Anyways, heard back this morning, the couple is very ecstatic about it, with only one image swap, so I guess that's good!

Don't get me wrong, I thought the photo was plenty good. And if the couple wanted such a shot, then I fully retract my opinion.
As I said, I'd be thrilled to present such an album to any client!
I had the same ? as above. I would take your logo off every page. I think your name on the first page is enough credit to tell everyone who did this WONDERFUL work. If I were the client I would not want the logo on all the other pages. Let those be about them.
