I have been watching the forums for about 7 months and just started posting comments today. I'm a 26 year old from California and have a great love for macro work. I shoot with a Pentax K20D and have a Sigma 50mm Macro lens and a 70-300mm Telephoto/Macro. I guess I don't post much because I don't feel like I have the talent to compare with others who post images...the same reason I can't break down and pay for the subscription that would allow me to post pictures. I have only been an avid photographer for a little under two years (when I bought my first DSLR). I enjoy looking at the posts to get ideas for my macro shots and to see the skill of others that are braver than me. =o) I also enjoy landscape and nature photography but would like to expand to people photography as well.
Hey lil_leopard, you don't need to subscribe to post pics. You can imbed them in you post from a site like flickr.
I am sure we would all love to see some of your images.
hello!
Oh, I lurk. I recently signed up (but as yet to pony up a paid subscription), and really have not contributed except on a ball head forum. I am torn between panos and macros, that's an extreme! I have a D300s and a Tokina 100mm f2.8 Macro along with the Nikon R1C1lighting system for a start. I had used the Nikkor 18-200 as a macro and found it to be quite good, but nothing beats getting into the dirt. The Tokina turned out to be an excellent piece of glass.
I have been posting photos on line at //fraucha.aminus3.com but nothing outstanding. A few macros.
I am a retired engineer from Apple and an ex graphic artist (another extreme!). I moved to Ukraine over a year ago and have been struggling with comp and dof, which is much more difficult than i thought in macro. i think I need more patience!
hmmm
I am a 1st time poster in this forum and also a 1st time lurker I guess!. Normal home is the NW and Sports forums (and of course B&S and lookie see in the Canon Gear forum to see what I cannot afford coming out... )
Saw a buddy lying on the ground (face down) in a field and though he was dead but it turned out he was shooting some bugs in a hole.
Photos were cool so I thought I would get into it as well
Saw some of the neat setups for macro work and its something I think I will spend some time doing now once I rearrange some lens to get a decent Macro lens.
Looking forward to seeing more macro pics and broaden my horizons a bit as well!
