oh this is an awesome image and that's not just because of my bias towards blue.  i really like the desolate, minimalist serenity this image conveys to me.
think it's really cool how the birds don't extend above the horizon, while they actually suggest to be the horizon themselves. that double horizon effect gives it a bit of a surreal charm. perhaps the picture has slightly too much vignetting for this scene cause now the darkness in the lower corners draws my attention away from the line of wings but nonetheless i like it lots!
