Hi
I'm have a problem with CS3. I am working on an intel mac with several third party plug-ins.
When I go to save a file, photoshop crashes and I loose everything I was working on. I have talked to Adobe several times and they have me trash the setting and ussually it works for a while and then I start having problems again. This last time it crashed right after I got off the phone with them.
I am still on Tiger, should I upgrade? Whould it help or just add more issues.

Run the program without the 3rd party plugins for a while and see if you still crash. I had interference from one of the plugins (until I updated it to CS3 compatible).

I have encountered very similar problem with my PC running on XP Pro SP2. I have tried everything following the advises from the Adobe Support, including clean reinstall, reset references, changing Boot.ini, deleting all third party plug-in, manually changing the register, etc. I did manage to get the CS3 working for awhile before it crashed on Save or Save As again (while everything still works normally as long as you don't hit the Save or Save As commands).
Finally, I had to install the Photoshop CS3 in a newly created User account, and it has been working for more than two months without any problem. Good luck and I know how frustrating that it is.
I think you must have already read a lot from Adobe's Tech Support site but just in case:
