When the big ram finally mated, it was like all heck broke loose. Every ram including the small ones tried to mate at the same time. The ewes were running away as fast as they could. They were running right past me only a few feet away, and the rams were trying to run and mate at the same time. What an experience.
Wonderful shots and great dialogue that added to the excitement of the shots. Very cool! Steve W

Loved your ongoing series of these animals behaviors Bruce, and I always get cranked up over the big boys when I see them, must have been cool to see.
Reko, I was well worth the effort to witness this event. Bruce

PS I am not a serial killer...just love the outdoors, and bighorns.
Kevin, I am glad you are not a serial killer, but a mathamatician might be just as bad for a dummy like me. Drop me a PM if you want to go some time. The rutt takes place early Novermber through December but the close access to the Mountain December 1. Bruce
