Welcome! You'll see our group has been together many years - it's a thread that meanders all over the place.

Lately I feel we're a bit light on aviation compared to a few years ago, but there are still some great photos and company.

Eddie Ray, one more step in this process. From what I understand, and it was pretty evident when I plugged in the USB C and the Micro HDMI cables, both those sockets will last no time at all without this little attachment. The bracket is the same whether you have the cage that accommodates the battery grip, or the cage for the body only.

My SmallRig cage (no battery grip) has the cable strain relief, only the knobs are triangular and hard to turn. If your rig is setup more or less permanently, you could tie the cables to one the cage holes with a cable tie for strain relief, not as elegant, but effective.

Good idea. This set up functions well, knobs are easy to secure and the cables are secured as close to the actual port as physically possible. The units are SmallRig and they are fairly inexpensive.We'll see soon how it all operates under fire. I'm going to take it for the Blackhawk shoot tomorrow evening, but it's supposed to be raining so I doubt that it will get put to work.
