Didn't know where to post this but it makes sense to post it here since it's about printing and products.
Does anyone here use Photoreflect.com? A fellow friend/photographer has recommended this site to me but I'm not going to sign up for something after one positive review. I wonder how easy it is to use, more importantly for the customer than for me.
I have used it for a long time and like it for website presentation of event photos.
I self fulfill most orders and only use their lab for Kodak Endura paper. There are many labs to choose from, so I should find a better lab. They have shipping problems that I have to make up afterwards and the lab's customer service is not good. Express digital CS is not great either but at least I don't need it very often.
I have looked at several other website services and always feel Phororeflect is still the one for me.
I use it also but haven't had many orders but I have been normally using it for letting people to see my raw event shoots but I am working on a workflow that will allow for uploading the finished images for purchase.
Just wished someone would make a plugin for lightroom or bridge that will work with it so Ido not have to use their free but propriotory software.
Ivor,
I use PhotoReflect and have found it takes a little time to get it set up like you want it. Once you get used to the way everything is laid out, it makes sense.
You can customize the look, using their templates.
Customers get around the albums fine. When they want to buy a print, the order box is on the side and they just have to put in a quantity. You do have to place the order to the lab.
You do get to pick from a lot of labs, find the one that you think fits your print needs. With some you can pick just about any product to print on. Others have just certain prints.
Plus, like Kent_Photo says, you can self-fulfill yourself. You get the web order and you print the order.
You can try it out first. It's free.
I have been using Photoreflect for about 5 years now.
I'll agree the customer service is lacking, but I've only nneded it a few times in the past, so it's really not a big problem for me.
I use the on-line labs to print and ship my orders.
Also with most of my work being seasonal, I like that's there's no monthly or annual fees. They take a % of what I sell, so no sales = no cost for my website.
I've been using Photoreflect for about 1 year now. The lab I use is Bay Photo.
Best part of Photoreflect is that there's no monthly fee. So whether you shoot a little or a lot, no monthly out of pocket. Virtually every other site similar to Photoreflect levies a monthly fee.
Yes, the customer service is horrible, but I've rarely ever needed help.
I've used it for a little more than a year now. Works great for me. One time customer service issue was resolved with one phone call and no need for any follow-up.
I have used Photoreflect for about 7 years and very happy with all of the services that they provide. I print all orders myself and they keep all photos that I upload to their site. You can check my site: www.actionphoto1.photoreflect.com
good luck
