Not sure what would be good category for this shot.

I keep returning to this place and it rewards me with interesting situations very often. Today I have noticed this horse, motionless in front of the old tree as if mesmerised by the sound of the leafs in the wind. I had the time to stop the car, setup my tripod, take 3 photographs and the horse still has not moved. Only when I folded the tripod down it walked away as if the photo session was over and it did its job.

I think it is one of better shots I've taken in a while. What do you think? (Strongly recommend seeing bigger photo)

I like the composition and lighting of the main subjects (horse and tree). A very peaceful image (and the larger version is much better; you could have posted that here just by linking).

Thanks. To me it looks as if the Tree extends its branches as hands over the horse and is performing some "magic" ceremony.

I have a problem with bandwidth every month despite paying for highest capacity account I can afford thus small photos here (and there) and link for these who are really interested.

The light is a little harsh but the scene is sweet and very peaceful indeed.
Nice one.

Hey Ted,

This is an interesting shot as you have 2 main subjects. I think you did well to capture it, as Ute suggested, the light is a bit harsh, maybe work a little more on the pp of it.

If I dim the light I'll lose details in the shadows, but perhaps you are right - it may not matter for this photo. (It was a very low morning sun)

Nice compostion, Ted. I think I would convert to black and white.
