Did a photo shoot today of friends of ours with their 6 month old son. Such a delight to see a young, happy couple full of so much love for their baby...and seeing that love mirrored back in the baby's face was the icing on the cake.
Hi Bev,
What a fantastic entry that fits the assignment and brings such a warm feeling as it shows the love for within the family. The only thing missing was the look on the couples face when they looked at your masterpiece.
Very well done,
Tom
We sure can feel love coming from this photo.
Great expressions and toning too.
The bit of motion blur on the father's hand and baby face is a little distracting too me but I like the feeling of the photo.

Thanks for the feedback. Yes, the father's hand was moving just a bit, and the light was so low I was using a slow film speed. This camera doesn't do well at ISO over 200, maybe it does for others but not for my taste. Anyway, I also had this shot I processed tonight. Better?
Wonderful enty very well presented Beverly. My favorite is the first one. Love the tone and the eyes of the Baby looking at his Dad. It sais it all!

As much as I love the first one, I truly like the second one even more. I think it's the expression on the baby's face, and the fact that he is framed by his Mom and Dad, but I'm not distracted by their faces. (Does that make sense?) It causes me to focus entirely on the baby, just as they are....and after all, he's the star of this image!
That's just me, though. As you always say....go with what your heart tells you.
Hi Beverly
There is a bond of love and trust betwwen parents and a child that cannot be faked. Your picture captures that all, without gimmicks or manipultion. A true moment in time. Love it.
Take care
Mark
I prefer the sharpness of the second one (maybe cropping a bit the upper left could improve it even more).
But I really like the connection of mother and baby hand along with their look in the original shot (still the case here with father but I find it less intense).
Now this is a most amazing shot...the eye contact between mother and baby is wonderful, with dad looking on....that connection between them all has been captured brilliantly
