It's still too early in the season here in Va Beach, so here is one from last fall.

This is a closer version of a shot I posted in a separate thread. Taken at Leland Pond in my hometown of Hamilton, NY:

Great HDR Lars. Those golden colors are really popping and the drama in the clouds really works. Did you have any problems with the wind and taking multiple exposures or was this done with a single exposure?

Not to be contrary, here--but, this HDR could be a "great HDR," but as is, it is very over-done, in my opinion.

I agree, its a little over done and the artifacts in the branches around the sun totally give it a way. Using Photomatix, I would be inclined to back the strength off to around 50% and clone out the artifacts. Regardless, this image will attract much interest from non-photographers.

Sean Mullins:

Thanks. Photomatix eliminated the ghosting caused by combining three exposures of moving branches.

Even as a photographer I like it.

Louis Granato:
I aimed directly towards the sun. Of course it had to be somewhat overdone.

I went out to take pictures of larch. It was a bit too overcast. Here is my best picture of the trip to take fall pictures.

On highwood pass in Kananaskis Country.

Spearfish Canyon in the Black Hills didn't last very long this year due to wind and early freezes. However, hiking with the family yesterday revealed some color along Spring Creek.
