STUNNING PHOTOS!! Love them all.. Favorites are the waterfalls (river rover, dnadal) and the reflections of the mountains in the distance.

Great thread! I'm going to break the rules and post two: a favorite from 2 years ago and a favorite from 2 days ago.

#1: aspen stand in rocky mountain national park, co (sept 24, 2005)

#2: roadside off peak to peak highway, co (sep 23, 2007)

While not a traditional Fall shot, I am rather partial to this recent capture of a local lake called Millerton.

Here in Central California we won’t be seeing traditional Fall color for a few weeks or so although there is plenty of colorful (read: dead) grass around. I hope you enjoy the colorful golden grass in this scene.

For those interested: Canon 5D, 5sec, f22, 16-35 2.8L @ 23mm, Singh-ray 3 stop reverse grad, raw.

Apologies accepted!. And because of the drought we had a miserably colourless autumn. But our liquidamber tree did perform - if only a little!

Paradoxically (but not so much after all, for me), my favorite is not really about these colors, but it sure is about what fall, especially at its beginning when the leaves are still plentiful, is about. santiago
