Very Impressive ! What processing did you do ?
Hi Mark,
thanks for your comments. I use Photoshop for my processing. These were shot in JPEG, so I just adjusted the Shadow/Highlights, then Levels and Saturation. I run some noise reduction, and finally some Smart Sharpening. Resized for the web and resharpened with USM.

beautiful detail and color and lighting and wow - you really know how to make your equipment sing Socrate. Very nicely done. I like the blur on the hummingbird wings - a nice change from the usual frozen wings we see.

Thanks, Gero. I appreciate your comments. I also agree with you about the wings blur. To me they look more "alive" rather then "embalmed" with the wings frozen. But that is just my personal taste. Glad you stopped by.

Hi, fantastic shots of these small rapid birds! Did you use a flash, if so; what kind of and how do you adjust this??

Hi, Stein. Thanks for your comments. These pictures were all taken in natural light. The hummingbirds shots were taken when the birds were hoovering by a feeder I set up in my backyard.
