so how does this contest work....you only pick the ones you like or what? i put an image up a few days ago and keep checking back to see if its there and its not...ive seen different images in the gallery every day ive checked but mine still is not there
I believe, from observation, that the gallery is either manually updated by Fred, or automatically updated by taking the first image of any thread with the title beginning #xxx:
It is possible that the gallery updater missed your thread, (and it's not uncommon) perhaps because you're missing a colon in your title. Just my guess though, the setup takes a little getting used to.

I see other posts that are missing the column that make it to the thumbnails. I know there have been problems in the past with the way a photo is linked. I noticed that you are using photobucket. I think there have been others on photobucket who have had problems. I'm not sure how to fix it. You might want to contact someone who is using photobucket for the WA or MA and see if they have some tips for you.
Same problem every time. I've entered for at least a month and I've never seen my picture in the thumbnails. I have two theories that apply to me. One is that I've been uploading Tiffs, not JPGs, so that will be my next experiment. The other is that I have not purchased a "membership" or whatever...which I can't do until I pay off my camera (a promise I made to myself). I upload from PBase so I'm pretty sure it's not a server thing.
Let me know if you figure it out.

I use Pbase as well and have had no problems. It might be the Tiff thing (why TIFFs? ) also make sure you have "linking" allowed in Pbase.

The TIFFs looked better, maybe it was my imagination...very likely. I'm still learning about the TIFF, RAW, JPG stuff. I do have linking, the pix show on the forum, just not in the thumbnails.
