First timer in the WA... so C& C would be greatly appreciated.

As a skier and videographer, this photo is the epitome of slow motion, a single frame during the period of action.

It looks really noisy, I will try to upload it elsewhere. But for now, please mind it.

Welcome to the WA! Hope you will stick around and enjoy the fun of learning with the rest of us. Your photo is also waaaaay too busy imho. I think it would be loads better to have just the boots/skies and nothing else. Simplicity seems to get the most attention around here .

yea, I definitely see your point as I have been browsing the WA for a few weeks. It is hard for me to shoot in an impersonal manner when my subjects are skiers.

I will have to keep that in mind, and in the future stay away from skiing for the WA. Thanks for the advice!

Well, I am not so sure that you do have to stay away from skiing. I have been an avid cyclist and did my best photo imho posted to the wa so far (a long time ago) which was of the spoke on a wheel in slow motion (yes I am thinking of reshooting ). So you can use cropping to isolate what you want to enter or try zooming in tight on a part of the action that you think might make an outstanding shot.

Welcome, Typical! (I wish everybody had to put at least their first name on their profiles. ) BUT! I'm glad you're here, and think you made a good effort on your first WA!

Keep it up! You'll learn so much here, and become a better photographer, too!

Well done!
