Now, don't go jumping to any conclusions. The loose screw refers to the glasses, not to me. Comments welcomed as always.

Waddaya think we are, a bunch of nuts or something?
Great idea and execution. Those tiny screws can be an insane trial, especially when they're made of brass and the threads are partially stripped. And when they're in your only pair of glasses and you're presbyopic...whoa...

My problem with these screws is I can't see them with my glasses off and I cant tighten them with my glasses on...what a dilemma. Great, really sharp shot here Robert w/ great DOF.

Super sharp! So........that's YOU behind those Foster Grant's, huh?
An excellent capture, as always, Robert!

The lighting is perfect and the DOF is great for the subject. What a good shot. Good lunck.

My friendly local optometrist will usually do this job for free, probably because of my contribution every two years or so towards fattening his bank account.
Nicely thought out and processed.

Very clever idea Robert; the composition and detail are excellent but I wish you didn’t have those dark objects behind the tiny screwdriver…

jban99 has got a point with the objects behind the screwdriver, both the light and dark ones. Otherwise a stunning capture as usual. Sharpness, lighting, DOF, faultless.

Robert,
Sharp focus, just the correct amount of reflection and true to the assignment.
Great Job!

I love it all. To those who dont have a loose screw the light and dark objects are the parts that come in a drugstore eyeglass fix it kit. I can make them out just barely as they are looking to fall on the floor!

That is a problem, Tom. Forces one to have two pair or a partner with good eyes. That's why I keep Jane around, but we won't tell her, will we?

Bill, I have found that the $10 readers work well for me. I keep several pair around the house, the office and in the car.

Hi John,

Thanks for the comments. The objects that you see are spare parts from one of those little eyeglasses repair kits. Unfortunately, they don't show up very well. I may try to re-shoot and either eliminate them or bring them more into focus so that they are recognizable.

Thanks, Adam. See my comments to jban about the items in the background. The spare parts include screws, small nose piece pads - the white objects - and tiny rubber grommets - the black objects.

Very good eye, Howard. Spoken just like one who has seen the contents of one of those little kits.

I am glad that you like it.
