I've been lurking and watching, but too busy to shoot the WA. New house, new kid, same old bad attitude. Been really busy, but since there is a sun dial two blocks from my house, I had to submit this week. Been shooting my CL lately because I've been travelling so much. I've actually sold some stuff on istockphoto.
Welcome back!! You have been missed!!! Congrats on the new baby. We will look forward to seeing some wonderful photos of Miss Julie. This is a nice piece, but I would rather the people and other stuff in the background were missing.
Yea, I know what you mean on the people. I wish they added context or were gone. The sunset wasn't that great, I'm hoping for a better one tonight. I didn't want to do a lot of work on one I might replace in a day.
Mark, I hope that you do get a chance to re-shoot this one without the clutter in the background - perhaps from a lower perspective that would place the sundial against the sky as a backdrop.
