I think it's probably off-putting to everyone because there is no context. The shot s simply a forced perspective shot of a lightpost juxtaposed against a clock tower. The light is about 10 feet tall; the clock tower is about 120. Unfortunately, the angle and the time of night make the clock tower look like some weird clock-radio cube or something.
