The EF500/4.5L has all the standard features of the big Canon telephotos, but no IS. USM ring motor, full time manual focus (with 3 speed settings), focus preset, AF/MF switch, selectable focus beep, white finish etc. It takes the standard 48mm filters in a rear mount drop in holder. It comes with a really nice, really sturdy carrying trunk in an impressive grey finish with metal trim.
Optics & Mechanics:
Glass: Excellent. No scratches, haze, fungus, cleaning marks.
Mechanics: Excellent. Autofocus, manual focus, and all switches work without any troubles.
Lens Mount: Excellent! There are no problems with the gold contacts.
Barrel: Very Good. There are some minor cosmetic marks in the barrel. No large marks and certainly no damage.
Hood Mount Ring: Very Good.
Tripod Foot: Very Good. Some cosmetic marks on the tripod foot. No damage and no problems with the mounting threads.
Included Items:
Original Canon Lens Trunk: excellent condition
Original Canon Lens Hood ET-123B II: A small piece of the plastic mounting ridge had broken
off, but has been glued back on. Hood fits snugly with no rattling.
Additional Items: Original Strap, Front Slip-on Cap, Rear Lens Cap
