Excellent series, Jason. The lighting of the #4 & 5 images makes them very extra sweet !!

Another fantastic set. 4 & 5 are my favorites for this set. I hope you post some more from this shoot. Thanks for sharing.

An embarrassment of riches, Jason. These are even better than the superlative previous ones. The first one is a grabber with the razor-sharp focus on the fox and its composition against the beautifully bokeh'd background--the whole panorama. Number 4 wins the champion fox contest--look at that conformation. Great colors, lighting, the works. Really special set.

Thanks jdc562!

Thanks slau! I have quite a few that have that super sweet light but i didn''t quite have the shutter speed I needed so there is some motion blur. I know I could have upped the iso but I was trying for the least amount of noise possible! I have more than enough keepers so I'm happy!

Thanks S_Martin! I have some more but it'll have to wait a week or two! I'm at work right now and this will probably be the last I have any time for a while.

These are all very good and a couple are simply outstanding. I like the "bat face" one.

I think it is a shame that foxes were never able to be tamed as pets. One good reason is that fox urine has one gawdawful smell. It is used to mark trees that would otherwise be illegally cut for xmas trees. You bring one of them indoors and let it warm up a bit and you won't keep it there for long and you will definitely never do it again.

They are one of natures most beautiful creatures. Both cute and majestic at the same time.

Thanks for taking the time to comment yogi3939. I'll have to remember to not let them mark their territory anywhere close. Sounds like it would end the day.

As tolerant and entertaining as these little guys were I'm still not sure I would want them around full time. Unlike the Red or Gray Fox, the Kit Fox is no bigger than your average house cat.
