I found this log under a dence spuce forest. It used to be a nice green spuce itself but now after a forest thinning a couple of years ago it turned gray. But the green color is back... http://www.elisanet.fi/kari.j.parssinen/fm256.jpg
It is a nice capture, Kari. The one thing that I find distracting--and it may just be early in the morning--is the blur in he brown organics around the log. I guess because it is blurry in the foreground and in the background, I find myself getting dizzy looking at it. I might trying cropping closer, or retaking with a smaller aperture.

Kari you have a mini forest within the forest. I am in Janes camp with the background. I would use the burn tool in photoshop to darken the backgound. I feel it isnt the quality of the bokeh but the brightness of some of the twigs . Great shot!
Good point, 'ski, on the brightness of the twigs (and the moss on some of the twigs) - and an easy improvement to make if the original poster feels it is necessary.
