Thanks. Not sure how, but they do three jumps, and I managed to catch all three that day, the other two are just as sharp.

I posted digital images earlier, but I still like looking at my "vintage" film shots, even though I converted them to digital via a cheapo scanner and very primitive processing.

Thanks Steen! The cameras were either an FE2 or F4s. Of course, no EXIF data so I can’t remember exactly what was used in each case, but here’s what I recall:

1. Bathroom sign (Women) in San Francisco: FE2, Nikkor 50mm f/1.4 AIS, and Ilford XP2 Super

2. Flatiron and clock tower in NYC: FE2 or F4s with Nikkor 180mm f/2.8 AIS

3. Racetrack Playa in Death Valley: FE2 with Vivitar Series 1 28-105mm , and a crappy two shot stitch. That’s my twin brother. I told him to stop and take a look at the shaft of light that had just hit the playa from a hole in the clouds. He was shooting with his Canon F1. One of these days I’ll stitch these images properly.

4. Newspapers: FE2, Nikkor 50mm f/1.8 I believe.

5. Subway train in Queens: F4s and Nikkor 16mm f/2.8 fish with heavy crop

6. Boys on Lenox Ave. in Harlem: F4s and Nikkor 24mm f/2.8

7. Katz’s Deli: I don’t remember!

8. Harlem mural: F4s, Nikkor 24mm f/2.8, two shot stitch

9. The Met in NYC: F4s, Nikkor 16mm f/2.8 fish

10. Gun sculpture: FE2 and 50mm f/1.4 AIS

Espresso, great shots, particularly the shot with the Sigma 10-20... love the sky you've captured and the sharp vivid detail, even the vignetting works for me.

And Paul... very cool capture there!

Thanks DJ. I love that butte. If I go back I will have to spend more time on it. It was a grab shot from the car and I want to see it in snow!

...and some new ones...most of the shots were done using the "painting with light" stuff except the last shot, which was lit up by itself, of course, it's a UV LED .

All images were shot using my D1 and all 3 images were on a Nikkor 35mm f2 non-Ai and the last was shot on a Carl Zeiss Luminar 25mm f2.5. I "painted" the first 3 images using a flashlight/torch under a 5-10 sec exposure. There are no PS manipulations and cropping, just dust bunny cleaning.
